DC Urban Dad is a daddy blogger that lives in the city and blogs about urban living, his daughter and his life as a new father.
Transcript: [Craig] So, we’re here today with Matt. He’s the author of “DC Urban Dad.” Matt, thanks for having us in your city, man, I appreciate it.
[Matt] Thanks.
[Craig] Uh, tell me a little bit about your blog.
[Matt] Um, well, I started the blog right when we found out that, uh, that we were going to have a daughter.
[Craig] Yeah.
[Matt] Just did it as a way to, uh, let my friends know that we were going to have a kid. I just thought it was a fun way of doing it. Never expected that I would continue doing it even after she was two.
[Craig] Yeah, so you started off, like, “here’s how I’m going to tell all my family that we’re having a baby?”
[Matt] It was actually just a picture of the, um, EPT test.
[Craig] (Laughs) I love it.
[Matt] I mean, I couldn’t think of any other way to do it and I just bought the URL and one thing led to another. I started to meet other dads and started to meet other moms and it started to become this really interesting, creative way of just releasing everything.
[Craig] Right.
