Know How: To Carve a Turkey

There may be no better depiction of the man of the house than a Norman Rockwellesque picture of him standing at the head of the table before he carves the Thanksgiving turkey.

That being said, the cutting of the turkey may be an entirely new experience for some new men of their respective houses. And failure is not an option.

Despite a few rules (like: cut the joints, not through the bones), there are numerous methods to slice a bird. And if you were never taught or didn’t learn it on your own, let Food Network’s “scientist” Alton Brown of the show "Good Eats" display an easy way to do it. No science knowledge required.
