App of the Week: Word Wizard

If you have a kid who is learning the alphabet or the basics of phonics and spelling, Word Wizard is a must have. It allows your child to drag letters onto the main area of the screen while hearing a very clear voice sound out that letter and any next to it. There’s also a Spelling Quiz mode, in which your child hears the word and then has to compose it. By the way, if your child were to inadvertently spell a popular dirty word, Word Wizard will replace it with “oops.” And we think that’s oops’n smart.
