Dad Stuff: Noise-Canceling Headphones

A couple weeks ago I mentioned that my wife and I had a new baby (and discovered a great iPhone baby monitor). Well, that gave me the perfect opportunity to treat myself to something I've been wanting for a while—noise-canceling headphones.
Now, you’re probably thinking I bought them to drown out the screams of a baby. That couldn't be further from the truth. Well, maybe it's 10% of the truth.
Honestly, I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of headphones for years. Balancing great audio quality with a good price and the added benefit of canceling out exterior noise proved tougher than I thought—until I tested the Monster Beats By Dr. Dre headphones.
These headphones offer great sound with incredible comfort over the ears, and the bonus of a great look. The look of these headphones is stunning. Walking past them in the store, your eye is immediately drawn to them. And the stares I've seen from others either means I look incredibly goofy with these headphones on or people are impressed by the Beats by Dr. Dre and that awesome little ’b’ on the side.
On the downside, the price was a bit more than I had wanted to spend, but I've come to realize that you pay for what you get. And can you put a price on the quiet these headphones provide from a screaming baby?
