Best Video Games 2010: Most Fun

Holiday shopping for the gamer in your life? Well, you're in luck, as this has been an awesome year to be an adult gamer. No matter what genre of games you're into, this year had several huge releases. Here are my picks for the best games of 2010.
Most Fun
Enslaved: Odyssey To The West (Xbox 360, PS3) – This underrated gem is perhaps the most fun I've had with a game this year. Play the demo (which contains the first 10 minutes or so of the game) and just TRY to put the controller down!
Enslaved is a combination of platforming, shooting and puzzle-solving, using each in a way that rarely tires or gets old. A note to all other game-makers – take a cue from this game – as Enslaved proves, you don't NEED to paint your post-apocalyptic world in depressing and muddied browns and grays where all the environments look the same.
Enslaved is a visual feast of colors, its world beautifully detailed and inviting exploration. The characters are extremely well-made, the voice acting and animations are among the best I've seen in a game. The storyline will have you plunging forward, as you care about the characters and must know what's going to happen!
Some people have accused the game of being too easy, but I would disagree completely. I've got three words for people saying the game is easy – giant robot dog. Enslaved got lost in the mix with all the other big titles released in the fall, so it's still unknown if a sequel is in the making. I'm hoping that this game becomes a cult classic and the developer is rewarded for their investment enough to make a second game.
