When cold weather sets in, the family that plays together, stays together. So today we’ve created a wish list of titles the whole family can enjoy. Don’t let the cutesy graphics and technicolor palettes fool you. All of these games have a solid feel to them and are fun to play. As one might expect, this list is dominated by Nintendo and the Wii but there are plenty of worthy games for other consoles.
$49.99; Xbox 360
After blowing up buildings in Call of Duty or decapitating a villain in Assassin’s Creed, there might not be a better game to “play” with your kids. Here’s why: while your pulse slows and the sweat on your brow dries from playing these intense, very adult-oriented action games, you can sit back and watch the kids interact with their personal pets—and even teach them new tricks. This title really is fascinating to witness, and the best part is you don’t have to walk, feed or cleanup after the kids are done paying with their baby lion, tiger, cheetah or other exotic pet.
Next game: Donkey Kong
