There are a lot of magazines out there, filling the web with articles about stuff you should know. Sure they're useful, and you might even learn something, but when it comes to reading about quirky new things and interesting facts, you have to check out Mental_Floss magazine. This magazine and website is stocked with amazing facts, trivia and just cool-to-know information that you can't find anywhere else.

You're not a better father or husband by knowing 10:10 is the default setting for clock and watches, but it's a fun conversation starter. I go to the website at least once a week and find myself clicking the amazing facts section, never seeing the same information twice. Did you know, "In colonial America, lobster wasn’t exactly a delicacy. In fact, it was so cheap and plentiful it was often served to prisoners?" I didn't either—but now that I do know it, I'm going to use that one again.

There are quizzes and trivia that will boggle your mind, and you will always leave thinking, "I didn't know that." But don't be fooled; this website isn't just fun, entertaining content. There are various features in every issue that will leave you feeling smarter. I don't think your IQ score will go up, but others might, once you start rattling off this cool information. So if you consider yourself a "knowledge junkie" or just want a quick break from the daily job, check out mentalfloss.com—you can thank me later.
