I love what tumblr has done to the web—it has become the new way of expressing yourself without having to say a single word. It requires little effort, more enjoyment for the eyes. One of my favorite tumblr blogs I look at daily is "The Impossible Cool."

This page is filled with old photographs of fashion greats. Audrey Hepburn, Miles Davis, the Kennedys—these people made themselves style icons without even trying by keeping their attitude and clothes simple and timeless. The black and white images speak louder than any color ever could, and they bring light to people who just did it right.

If you're looking to gain perspective on style, take a look at this blog. After scrolling through a few images you will begin to see a pattern. It didn't matter so much what these people were wearing as it was their attitude and presence while wearing it.
