Know How: Clean Hardwood Floors
January 07, 2012, By Jack Heffron 0 comments
Cleaning hardwood floors. Not exactly a glam job. It's one of those chores that tends to get shoved to the back of the line while more pressing messes take first priority. But it has to be done now and again, and few chores you can do will make a room look so much better than shining up the hardwood—even if it's a laminate floor. I'm always surprised how much dust and dirt I manage to pick up from floors that appeared to be fairly clean already.
This video explains everything you need to do and even tells you why you need to do it that way. Taken from a cleaning series titled "Ask Melissa," the video guides you step by step through the process, pausing to answer the questions that likely will arise as you watch.
Host Melissa brings a sense of a humor along with her mop and bucket, which makes the learning curve a lot easier to climb. Take a look and then get started on those floors. Your rooms may not exactly "look like new," but, then again, maybe they will.
