Know How: To Chop Firewood & Start a Fire

The first few minutes of the movie “Commando” are basically all that is man. Arnold Schwarzenegger appears on screen carrying what looks to be an entire tree. Horrible music plays. He chops wood. And chops more wood.
Luckily, a person doesn’t have to be physically capable of ripping a tree from the ground to be able to split some logs—it’s about technique and having the correct tools (like the Best Made American Felling Axe).
As for lighting a fire, it's not really all that complicated. But, as the above video says, if there are folks using lighter fluid to light a fire in their fireplace, this very well may be necessary to put up for the sake of their families, home or block.
So let's roll up our sleeves, get outside and swing an axe. That wood ain't gonna chop itself.
