Save Cash: Email Subscription Coupons

No matter where you go or where you shop, you are likely to be asked for your email address while checking out. You may ignore them, act like the store already has it or graciously whisper "no thanks" to avoid it, but do you realize the kind of money you could be saving by handing it over?
Despite the obvious annoyance these emails bring, they are typically filled with sale dates, specials and yes, the most valuable of all—coupons. From Kohl's to your favorite chain restaurant, signing up to these online subscriptions will often bring you coupons and free meals for your family.
I currently am signed up for emails from a handful of my favorite stores. Strictly the places I go on a weekly basis. Before I go to make any kind of purchase, I make sure I'm not missing out on any coupons deals, and then I check out knowing I got the best possible price for my item.
The latest and best subscription emails I received were from Bed Bath and Beyond and Brio Restaurant. After signing up online at Bed Bath and Beyond.com, I immediately was emailed a 20 percent coupon, saving me close to $20 on new pots and pans. After signing up with Brio, I received a free appetizer on my next visit, saving me $10 on my dinner bill.
I know what you might be thinking: why not sign up for these subscriptions, get the coupons and then unsubscribe? Sure, you can take that approach, but remaining on these subscriptions will also bring you more savings in the long run. So what should you do to avoid clogging your inbox? My advice—start an email address just for these savings emails. This way your work and personal emails won't be overtaken by "Sale: This weekend only" emails. Check this email inbox once or twice a week to be aware of specials and you are set.
Nothing is better than saving money, especially at stores where you are already shopping—so don't be shy, hand over your email address and get saving.
