1) Men Don't Want to Commit: UNTRUE

A 2011 study of 5,200 singles in America (done by Match.com and based on the US census to accurately represent the US population) showed that men are just as eager to marry as women. Among individuals between the ages of 21 and 34, 62% of both sexes said they were eager to wed. In some cohorts, women were slightly more eager to marry, while in others men were slightly more eager, but the differences were not significant. In a study done in 2000, more men than women reported that marriage was their “ideal lifestyle.”

T J. (In another 2011 study (done by the Microsoft Network), of 32,248 single and married men and women, men (as well as women) agreed that the personality traits of a partner were more important than their physical traits): Waking up to a physically ugly person "but they have a great personality" every day and saying that's all you need indicates that you're probably in the same boat. - 10/07/2011
Thomas P. Wow, men who frequent match.com are eager to marry? They couldn't possibly be much more eager to marry than the general, less desperate, population. - 09/27/2011
Bogus S. "In another 2011 study (done by the Microsoft Network)" ... don't those online surveys in the sidebar always say it isn't scientific? First, the sample is drawn from people that voluntarily go to MSN, seek out that article, and then choose to respond. Hardly representative of the population. - 09/20/2011
Mike F. Interesting stats... of course it could just indicate that men are better at lying on surveys... just sayin'... - 08/28/2011
