Does That Brand Name on Your Shirt Really Matter?

Mid-Range Brands
You can also effectively compromise in the style vs brand equation by buying mid-range brands. In the jeans example, for instance, instead of paying the huge cost increase for Dolce & Gabbana you can go with quality Levi jeans and get both a trusted designer label and a quality buy.
Mix and Match
There is nothing wrong (and everything right) with doing a little of both when it comes to designer label vs off-brand clothing. Often you can go with off-brand slacks and shoes if you have a quality shirt and jacket. During cold weather when guys dress in layers, you can complement a designer sweater with off-brand underclothes. Mix and match to suit your wallet and your sense of style.
At the end of the day, I'd rather be glad I made a sensible choice of expenditure than be a brand freak. The cut, the stitch and the flow of the garment makes them what they're worth and not the brand name.
