3 Step Guide to Summer Footwear

For most of us, summer is the one time of year when you can slip off those socks and shoes and give your feet a good airing. Those bare feet are best aired out in a good pair of sandals.
If you've got nothing but a pair of light sneakers to shove your feet into when summer arrives, you owe it to yourself (and your feet) to invest in some quality sandals.
I know what you're thinking. It's easy to get self-conscious and worry about the talk of "mandals." Some might even tell you that sandals are for kids. Instead of letting naysayers keep your feet in sweaty bondage, defy expectations by wearing sandals that are comfortable, stylish and functional.

The classic flip-flop. Also known as thongs, these summer staples are usually the most basic and loose-fitting of designs, giving your toes unobstructed wiggle room. When you think of the simple Y-shaped strap that meets by your big toe, you're thinking of flip-flops. These sandals are a mixed bag for some guys, especially those with big, beefy toes. Some find the strap at the front to be a little awkward, and stubbed toes aren't uncommon if you try to run around in them. Still, flip-flops are so easy to slip on, you might just forget you're wearing them. Be careful not to go too cheap since the least expensive flip-flops look as stylish as they cost. Brands such as Reef, Havaianas and Rainbow offer stylish and comfortable options.
