Men and the Dreaded Body Odor Problem

We can't get away from the fact that we sweat. My wife constantly complains when I come home from work and my deodorant has either been overtaxed or I've forgotten to put it on that morning.
Try some of these suggestions for keeping your day free of body odor. Trust me, your significant other and co-workers will thank you for it.
Deodorant Versus Antiperspirant
According to the Mayo Clinic, an antiperspirant contains aluminum, which blocks sweat pores, while deodorant uses alcohol to make your skin more acidic, which hinders smelly bacteria from forming.
I have found that nonpowdered deodorants work best for me when I work in an air-conditioned office. When the temperature is kept cool, an alcohol-based deodorant applied first thing in the morning does an effective job of keeping odor at bay.
Nonpowdered and nonaluminum deodorants also have another benefit in that they don't stain my clothes. In high school, my white T-shirts would have those annoying stains in the underarm area. Later on, I figured out that there are many choices with great masculine scents that don't stain my clothes.
You can tell which deodorants lack powders by the color. Usually a white stick deodorant doesn't contain powder. If you like using a stick deodorant, go for a blue, clear or green one. There are always roll-ons and sprays you can use as well.
I apply my deodorant as soon as I'm dry after my shower. I also indulge in a lot of air-conditioning on the drive to work to keep things cool. If you commute to work in a large city, air-conditioning may not be practical. Simply keeping your underarms aired out slightly may help reduce the sweat and bacteria that cause odors. Your sweat shouldn't overpower your product.
